There has been a seaweed issue along this coast for a few years now. All the drinks were included and the bartenders were always ready with your next drink. The beach was beautiful with a tiki hut and swinging seats. I’m a huge pool person so I loved that there were two separate pools and a swim up bar! Two chairs were easy to come by at any time of the day. The balcony also had the perfect reading nook when I wanted a break from the sun! (seriously where can I get these pillows?!) It didn’t seem like too many people took advantage of that amenity but still pretty cool none the less. Perfect spot to drink your coffee in the morning! The rooms below us (on the first floor) are the junior suites with a swim out pool you can book. Love me some bright colors! I really loved the decor in the rooms, it felt fresh and clean. I wanted to bring all the pillows home with me to decorate for spring/summer. There was a rain shower but I didn’t want to go overboard with the pictures lol. Usually on beach vacations I want to be outside as much as possible but with this resort, I didn’t mind being in the room during different periods of time. It was a clean, spacious and newly renovated room with a luxury style bathroom. We stayed in the “standard king room” but there was nothing standard about it. Many couples on the resort were celebrating their honeymoons and anniversaries and I would definitely recommend this resort for those special occasions! The Room They really make your stay special whether you are celebrating something or not. They also had the most friendly staff I’ve come across so far in my travels. Prices can be slashed more than 25% depending on your dates! This is an all-inclusive resort and boy did J and I get our money’s worth. Secrets Maroma Beach happened to be the deal of the day back in December so I immediately jumped on it. ( you can get $25 off your first stay and I receive $25 my next!) was the best resource for finding a great deal! Seriously guys I can’t recommend them enough for finding affordable hotel deals. Sorry for the picture overload in advance! Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Maya MexicoĪt the beginning of winter, I started doing my research as far as which resort I wanted to stay at once I decided Riviera Maya was where I wanted to be. The whole week, mostly due to the resort, was everything I thought it would be. I’m so glad I headed south of ht border to see what all the fuss was about. Plus, I wanted to be able to say I’ve been to my neighboring countries! I knew I wanted to head to Mexico for my 30th birthday pretty much because I wanted to add another country while celebrating the milestone, I wanted to be on a beach, and I love margaritas lol. Last year, I wrote a travel diary for my stay at the Atlantis Resort Paradise Island in the Bahamas. I like to review some of my trips for all of you like I would my family and friends (hi to all of them□). I’m recapping, and reviewing, my stay at Secrets Maroma Beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico!
